    Plan a detour to Burano during your stay in Venice. This picturesque island, just a short vaporetto ride away, is famous for its brightly colored houses that line the canals. Each house is painted a vibrant color that supposedly helped fishermen find their way back in thick fog or after a long night at sea.

    The Tunnelbana of Stockholm

    If you are in Stockholm, make sure you use the metro! What makes the Stockholm metro really unique are the artistically designed stations. Each station seems to be a little masterpiece in itself, with murals, sculptures, mosaics and installations created by different artists. It's like a free art gallery underground.
