    The beating heart of Lisbon

    Lisbon impresses with the Bairro Alto district, a hotspot for culture and nightlife. During the day, narrow alleyways and colorful fado houses beckon, while in the evening, numerous restaurants with local specialties such as bacalhau and bars ranging from cozy to trendy invite you to linger. A visit to a fado bar to enjoy authentic Portuguese music is a must.

    Hiking in the heart of Cape Verde

    Cape Verde and the island of Santo Antão in particular are a dream destination for hikers. The island boasts an impressive mountain landscape with lush valleys and steep cliffs. Hiking trails range from easy walks to challenging tours. Along the way, small villages invite you to enjoy the local cuisine, such as the hearty cachupa stew.

    A miracle on La Réunion

    The Notre Dame des Laves church is an impressive example of resilience in the face of the forces of nature. This small church became famous when it was almost completely spared by a lava flow from the nearby Piton de la Fournaise volcano in 1977. The lava came right up to the doorstep and then mysteriously changed direction, leaving the church virtually unscathed.
