Day 1, Arrival Yangon (by morning / midday flight)

Arrive Yangon in morning/ midday by flight. You will be welcome by your tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Have a rest at the hotel until the late afternoon sightseeing starts.

Late afternoon, we will visit the Chaukhtatgyi - the colossal reclining Buddha; the Shwedagon Pagoda – an awe-inspiring golden stupa and view the sunset from there.

Overnight at Yangon.

Day 2, Yangon - Nyaung (Flight) / Bagan full day sightseeing

Early breakfast at the hotel or breakfast box from the hotel. Transfer to airport to fly to Bagan, one of the Asia’s most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia. Upon arrival at Bagan, the sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha tooth and hair; Gubyaukgyi Temple (Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century ‘cave temple’ with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style.

Afternoon, we will visit a lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to local village.

Before the sundown, watch sunset from High Platform built by government.

Day 3, Bagan - Kyunthiri - Bagan sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel. We’ll Visit_

- Kyun Thiri Island, an island in the middle of the river.

Boat ride to Kyun Thiri Island and stop and make a visit to this typical farming village, interact with the villagers and observe their way of life. A monastery visit is also included. Back to Bagan.

Day 4, Bagan - Mandalay 2 Nights Cruise Embarkation

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the jetty to embark 2Night Cruise. Enjoy the whole day revering trip as arranged by the cruise. Lunch and dinner on board.

Day 5, Sailing Cruise

Breakfast on board. Continue cruising along the Irrawaddy River. Lunch and dinner on board.

Day 6, Disembarkation / Mandalay Sightseeing

Enjoy the sunrise. After an early breakfast, the passengers will disembark at Sagaing Jetty (Thursday only) or Gawein jetty (Sunday Only) at around 09.30/10.00 hrs. Sightseeing at Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar kingdom, includes Mahamuni Buddha Image – believed to be cast in bronze in front of Buddha himself and nowadays gilded with thick gold leaf; gold leaf hammering, marble carving, and tapestry making.

Afternoon sightseeing includes Shwenandaw monastery, still existing masterpiece of last Myanmar kingdom’s architecture in teak and wood carving; Kuthodaw Pagoda, renowned as the world’s largest book; and Mandalay Hill, regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay, to view the sunset.

Day 7, Sagaing - Amarapura Sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Sagaing, a former capital of Shan Kingdom and Myanmar Kingdom. Sagaing nowadays is renowned as the religious center of Myanmar because of over 400 monasteries spreading throughout the hillocks. After crossing the Inwa bridge (also called Sagaing Bridge), visit the silver smith andKaunghmudaw pagoda – the giganticstupa represent paddy heap. One can visit the Sagaing hill by trucks. The highlights include UminthonesePagoda, a thirty man made caves pagoda, Soonooponyashin Pagoda, to enjoy the sunset over there.

Drive to Amarapura, former Royal capital of Myanmar but the suburb of Mandalay nowadays. Highlights include Mahargandaryone monastery, a typical monastic school; silk weaving factory. U Bein bridge, the world’s longest teak wood bridge across the Taungthaman lake and watch sunset from the U Bein Bridge.

Day 8, Mandalay - Heho (Flight) - Visit Pindaya & Kalaw

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Arrival Heho and drive to Pindaya.

Pindaya is a historic town situated about three hours drive from Inle Lake. The sightseeing highlights include: Pindaya caves – natural lime stone caves not only with numerous stalactites and stalagmites but also filled with about 8000 various sizes of Buddha images believed to be there since 11th century; and famous Botoloke Lake. Ethnic groups like Shan, PaO and Danu are living environs of Pindaya. The place nowadays is also famous for traditional Shan paper making and Shan umbrella making. Then, proceed to Kalaw. Arrival Kalaw and check-in hotel.

Day 9, Visit Kalaw / Excursion on Inle Lake by boat

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Kalaw, an old British hill resort stands at the altitude of 1,315 meters, is also known as Pine Land because of its abundant in pine trees. The sightseeing includes: Shweumin natural caves; taking along the up-down meandering roads of Kalaw to have the panoramic view of Kalaw; old colonial style buildings from a hillock opposite of Kalaw. Then, proceed to Inle Lake.

Inle Lake, one of the magical lakes in Myanmar located 900 meters above sea level surrounded by beautiful mountains of Shan plateau, is the home land of the Inthar tribe. If by chance today coincides with the market day, we will visit the regional market which is held on a 5 days rotation basis in different areas of the Lake. We will visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda – famous for its richly gilded five small Buddha images; Ngaphechaung monastery (also known as jumping cat monastery) was built more than one and a half century ago and features a number of interesting old Buddha Images. Other attractions include: unique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Inthar, floating gardens used as vegetable plantations, silk and cotton weaving cottages and black smith.

Day 10, Inle - Indein Full day sightseeing

We explore the southern part of the Lake by boat sailing through small twisting and turning creeks to reach Indein village. This small village located on the southwestern bank of the lake is famous for its ruined clusters of pagodas dated back to 16th century. The tranquil peaceful ambience and the ruins overgrown with bushes will bring you centuries back.

In the afternoon we will visit Ywa-Ma village, gold and silver smiths workshop. In the evening, enjoy the sunset while visiting the Inle Lake by boat.

Day 11, Heho - Yangon (flight)

Breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to Yangon.

The full day tour of Yangon commences with a visit to city center and Sule Pagoda, the landmark of downtown Yangon, followed by a short walk to the Strand hotel, a relic of the colonial-era legacy which was opened in 1901 by the famed Sakies brothers; followed by photographing at Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake.

Afternoon sightseeing includes Bogyoke Market (formerly called Scott Market), where we can shop varieties of goods ranging from handicrafts to clothing and local food/ snack; sightseeing and we would then visit Botahtaung Pagoda. If time permits, we will a walk at Chinatown area, the bustle point of Yangon.

Remark: Bogyoke Market closes on Monday and Public Holidays.

Day 12, Departure Yangon

Breakfast at the hotel. Free at leisure. You will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to Yangon.

Transfer to the International airport for the flight back to your home or a beach stay.
