Day 01: Delhi

Day 02: Delhi

Breakfast at hotel

Proceed on full day city tour of Old and New Delhi. 

Visit Old Delhi. A direct consequence of Delhi's rich history is its magnificent monuments. Drive past the Red Fort built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan of red sandstone, surrounded by 2.4 km a wall in circumference. The Jama Mosque, the largest mosque in India is another architectural gift by Shah Jahan. Walk through Chandi Chowk, to savour the ambience of an oriental bazaar; once an imperial avenue of Mughal Royalty today it is the busiest commercial area of the city. 

Embark on tour of New Delhi: visit the 72.5 meters tall Qutub Minar, drive past the India Gate (war memorial dedicated to the Indian soldiers who laid down their lives). The monuments in Delhi reminiscent of British colonial architecture are: the President’s Palace, Secretariat, Rajpath, and Parliament (Drive past only). Take a Photo-stop at Birla temple & Lotus temple. Visit Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, it is the most prominent Sikh Gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship in Delhi. You may enjoy a meal in the Gurdwara kitchen (langar hall).

Day 03: Delhi

Breakfast at hotel.

Drive to Mandawa (265 km/ 6 hrs) : located in the Shekhawati region, popularly known as the open art gallery of Rajasthan. This semi-desert region is known for its colourfully painted havelis (mansions) that are commendable pieces of a great artistic tradition. Most of them were constructed between AD 1750 and 1930 by the Marwaris. Most of the havelis are painted in multi-colours like indigo, yellow, green, maroon, and blue and beautiful paintings adorn the walls. 

On arrival check into hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 04: Mandawa

Breakfast at hotel

Sightseeing of Mandawa village. Explore the painted havelis and Mandawa Castle. The frescoes depict Hindu gods and goddesses, courtship of Lord Krishna with Radha, themes of myths and scriptures etc.

Later drive to Bikaner (185km/4.5 hrs) : adorned with gigantic and spectacular forts and palaces that tell the world about the opulence of its rulers. En route visit Karni Mata temple at Deshnok where rats are hold sacred & worshipped. 

On arrival check in at hotel.

Day 05: Bikaner

Breakfast at hotel

Proceed on city tour, visit Junagarh Fort, built by Rai Singh between 1588 and 1593, towers over the city and can be seen from a distance. The fort and its palaces are decorated with magnificent stone carvings. Also visit Camel Breeding farm. 

Drive to Jaisalmer (330 kms / approx. 6 hrs 30 mins) : 

Situated in the heart of the Thar Desert, it is an ideal destination to witness natural beauty of the desert.

On arrival check in at the hotel.

Day 06: Jaisalmer

Proceed on City tour of Jaisalmer fort - the main attraction of this picturesque desert city. Located on the top of the Trikuta Hill, it is visible from a distance of 15 km. The ramparts, bastions and long-stretching walls of the fort dazzle gloriously. Also visit the Maharaja’s Palace, Jain Temples and the famous Havelis - (Patwao Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli, Nathmal Ki Haveli) Gadisar Museum and Mandir Palace.

Evening explore local markets.

Day 07: Jaislermer

Breakfast at the hotel

Morning Proceed for the Camel safari (6 kms) visiting traditional Rajput village tribal community.

Lunch stop at Ludhra Village.

Thar Desert Afternoon Continue your safari & enjoy the magical sunset at Kheroan Ki Dhani.

Overnight: Desert Camp


Day 08: Thar Desert

Watch the sunrise at breakfast.

Proceed on Desert safari (15 kms), experience the desert with its vegetation and wild creatures and villages on the way.

Lunch and rest in the shade of trees.

Continue Camel safari for 10 kms. 

Overnight in desert camp at Laxmana dunes. 


Day 09: Thar Desert

Watch the sunrise at breakfast.

Proceed on Camel safari (10 kms), visit the villages scattered along the sand dunes. Experience the desert life, watch the exotic creatures of the sands, observe the vegetation and enjoy the peaceful quiet life of this unforgettable environment just like the locals do.

Lunch stop at nearby village Turke Ki Basti.

Continue Camel ride towards Sam Sand Dunes visiting traditional Rajput village and its beautiful sand dunes.

Evening enjoy spectacular sunset followed by local folk dance & dinner prepared at the camp. 

Overnight: Desert Camp


Day 10: Jaisalmer

Breakfast at the Desert Camp overlooking the sunrise.

Later drive to Jodhpur (290 km/ 6 hrs) : Referred at Blue City, located on the edge of the Thar Desert and dotted with several forts and palaces. 

On arrival visit Mehrangarh Fort - spread over an area of 5 sq. km in the heart of the city, it is one of the most impressive and formidable structures in Rajasthan. The fort has 7 gates. Within the fort are a series of courtyards and magnificent palaces with meticulously carved panels, latticed windows or "jharokhas" with evocative names. Visit Jaswant Thada, a cluster of royal cenotaphs in white marble built in 1899 AD in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh-II, who succumbed to injuries in this place while fighting the Mughal Emperor Jehangir.

Day 11: Jodhpur

Breakfast at Hotel 

Morning Drive to Rawla (130 km/approx 3 hrs): Ideally located between the popular cities of Jodhpur & Udaipur—a comfortable 2 hrs ride from both - Rawla makes a most charming destination to stop & inhale the magic of rural Rajasthan.

Arrive & check into hotel.

Explore the local village & charming stepwell, later head up nearby Elephant Hill which has fantastic views of the surrounding Aravalli hills.

Day 12: Rawla

Breakfast at Hotel

Drive to Udaipur. Enroute visit the spectacular Jain temples at Ranakpur - one of India’s biggest and most important Jain temple complexes. The interior is completely covered in knotted, lovingly wrought carving, and has a marvellously calming sense of space and harmony. 

(They will not have a guide at Ranakpur but entrance fee quoted as supplement, can take out an audio guide if they wish). 

Continue drive to Udaipur airport for flight to Delhi.
